What is Easter really about? You're invited to experience Easter and see, hear, touch, smell, and even taste the Easter story, the days leading up to Jesus' death on the cross, and the empty tomb. Come along and find out why Easter brings us hope and is good news for the whole world!
On Saturday 12 April, Ridgeline Park will be filled with an interactive Easter experience, including drama, tasting the food Jesus would've eaten with his disciples, the cross and the empty tomb. Kids can fill out a scavenger hunt booklet, and you'll get some Easter eggs and goodies to take away with you.
On Easter Sunday (20 April), you're invited to join us for worship at dawn, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus as we see the sun rise over Lake Burley Griffin.
Easter is the celebration of the most incredible event in history. God had come to earth as a human being, Jesus Christ (we celebrate this at Christmas). Jesus showed us how to live life and love others in the way which God had always planned for humanity. Instead of embracing this, the people were afraid of him - and he was put to death as though he were a criminal. But three days later, God raised Jesus from the dead - proving that God's life and love is more powerful than death. Everyone who believes in Jesus gets to share in God's life and a love that is stronger than death.
That's what we're celebrating, and we'd love for you to join in!
